I love the fragility and beauty of fresh flowers and enjoy capturing their essence. I do not paint realistically but rather try to show the feelings and attitudes of the flowers that I paint.
Some of these paintings are acrylic on canvas, others acrylic on paper, and still others watercolor on paper.
When paper is used as the ground for a painting it is acid free watercolor paper, either 140 or 300 lb. or acid free illustration board. Works on paper are best displayed under glass or plexi-glass with mats between the artwork and the covering.
If you purchase a work on paper it will be shipped matted in a neutral color and ready to frame.
